Terms and Conditions

Freedom Outdoors NZ Ltd

These Terms and Conditions apply to all purchases, quotes, orders, deliveries, and services supplied by Freedom Outdoors NZ Ltd. By placing an order, paying a deposit, accepting a quote, or purchasing from us, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.

1. General

Freedom Outdoors NZ Ltd supplies RV and caravan windows, doors, parts, accessories, and related services. We may update these Terms and Conditions from time to time, and the version published on our website at the time of your order will apply. If any part of these Terms is found to be unenforceable, the remaining parts will continue to apply.

2. Quotes and Orders

All quotes are valid for a limited time unless otherwise stated and may be withdrawn or changed before we accept your order. Quotes are based on the information you provide, including measurements, specifications, and product requirements. We may refuse or cancel an order if a product is unavailable, incorrectly priced, or if there is a problem with payment or supply.

3. Product Details

We make every effort to ensure product descriptions, images, dimensions, and specifications are accurate. However, product details may change without notice, and minor variations may occur. You are responsible for checking that products are suitable for your vehicle, application, and intended use before ordering. This is especially important for windows and doors, where measurements and compatibility are critical.

4. Custom and Special Orders

Some of our products are custom-made or ordered to your specifications. Once manufacture has started or a special order has been placed, the order may not be cancelled, changed, or returned unless the product is faulty or we are required to do so by law. If you provide incorrect measurements or specifications, you may be responsible for any resulting loss, remake, and freight costs.

5. Prices and Payment

All prices are shown in New Zealand dollars unless otherwise stated. Prices may include or exclude GST depending on how they are displayed. We may change prices at any time before accepting your order. Payment must be made in full, or in accordance with any agreed deposit or credit terms, before goods are released or construction begins.

6. Delivery

Delivery times are estimates only and may vary depending on stock availability, freight delays, weather, or supplier issues. We are not responsible for delays outside our reasonable control. If you arrange your own freight, risk passes to you when the goods are collected by the carrier. If we arrange delivery, risk passes to you once the goods are delivered to your nominated address.

7. Installation

We do not have an installation service in house. We may suggest installers in your area, but you are responsible for doing your own due diligence to make sure the installer meets your requirements. Any issue with installation falls back on the installer, not Freedom Outdoors NZ Ltd. We also do not accept liability for any product installed by you which is installed incorrectly, i.e. leaks etc. Our warranty only covers the product. Please note that the supplied hardware may need to be replaced depending on you wall thicknesses. Etc.

8. Warranty

Our products come with warranties that apply in addition to your rights under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993, except where the law allows otherwise. Our warranty is 24 month standard on all windows and door products, and 3 years on the TradeNTrail Pod.

Warranty claims may require proof of purchase and evidence of the fault. Warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, accident, neglect, improper installation by others, modification, normal wear and tear, or failure to follow care or installation instructions. Where a product is found to be faulty due to manufacturing defect, we may repair, replace, or refund it, at our discretion and as required by law.

9. Returns and Cancellations

We may accept returns for stock items at our discretion if they are unused, in original condition, and returned with proof of purchase within a reasonable time. Change-of-mind returns are not available for custom-made goods, specially ordered items, cut-to-size products, installed products, or items that cannot be resold safely.

If an item is faulty, we will assess it in line with applicable warranty and consumer law requirements. In some cases, the product may need to be sent to the supplier or manufacturer for assessment before a refund, replacement, or repair is offered.

10. Consumer Guarantees

Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you may have under the Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 or any other applicable New Zealand law. Businesses must meet minimum guarantees that goods are of acceptable quality and that repair, replacement, or refund remedies are available for faulty goods or substandard services.

11. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential loss, including loss of profit, loss of use, or delay-related loss. We are not responsible for loss caused by incorrect measurements, misuse, improper installation by others, or use of products outside their intended purpose. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded under New Zealand law.

12. Title and Ownership

Goods remain the property of Freedom Outdoors NZ Ltd until payment has been received in full. If payment is overdue, we may recover the goods to the extent permitted by law. You must take reasonable care of any goods that have not yet been fully paid for.

13. Privacy

We collect and use your personal information to process orders, deliver goods, manage warranties, and provide customer service. We may also retain transaction records for warranty and accounting purposes. Personal information is collected and stored for transaction and warranty records and handled under the Privacy Act 2020.

14. Governing Law

These Terms and Conditions are governed by the laws of New Zealand. Any disputes will be dealt with in the courts of New Zealand.
